Join us in the fight for educational rights.

Your annual AFER membership includes free admission to the annual Special Education CLE, access to briefs and sample documents, and a community of attorneys to collaborate with in your practice. Your dues also support AFER’s legislative and policy advocacy. The link to apply is below.

Please note that membership is limited to attorneys who exclusively represent parents of students with disabilities or youth. Your membership must be reviewed and approved by AFER’s Membership Committee.  If you are not admitted, your annual dues payment will be returned.  If you do not meet AFER membership criteria, you may appeal for “exception” status.  To do so, please email AFER at afer@attorneysforeducationrights.org with the “Seeking Exception for Membership” in the subject line.

AFER is 501(c)(4) nonprofit social welfare organization. Membership dues and donations are not deductible as charitable contributions; consult your tax adviser as to whether they may be deductible as a business expense.
