One Year AFER Membership-Includes CLE Registration
In order to apply for membership, you must attest the following:
I hereby attest:
(1) I am an attorney;
(2) I provide legal representation of students with disabilities and their families as a significant portion of my practice;
(3) Neither I, nor my law firm, nor any owners, employees, of-counsel attorneys, or contract workers of my current law firm:
(a) consult with or represent public, private, or charter schools, or employees of public/private/charter schools acting in an official capacity; or
(b) hold myself/itself/themselves out as available to consult with or represent public, private, or charter schools, or employees of public/private/charter schools acting in an official capacity;
(4) I have not within the past year:
(a) consulted with or represented public, private, or charter schools, or employees of public/private/charter schools acting in an official capacity; or
(b) owned, been employed by, been of counsel to, or worked on a contract basis for a law firm that has (i) consulted with or represented public, private, or charter schools, or employees of public/private/charter schools acting in an official capacity;or (ii) held itself out as available to consult with or represent public, private, or charter schools, or employees of public/private/charter schools acting in an official capacity.
(5) I will immediately withdraw my membership in AFER if at any point in the future I, my law firm, or an owner/employee/of counsel/contract worker of my law firm:
(a) consult with or represent public, private, or charter schools, or employees of public/private/charter schools acting in an official capacity; or
(b) hold myself/itself/themselves out as available to consult with or represent public, private, or charter schools, or employees of public/private/charter schools acting in an official capacity;
(6) I understand that AFER reserves the right to rescind membership if AFER determines I have not been truthful in making the statements above.
