Advocating for Education Justice

We work to fulfill the promise of the IDEA: “Improving educational results for children with disabilities is an essential element of our national policy of ensuring equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for individuals with disabilities.”

We advocate for legislative and policy improvements with our lawmakers and the Washington state Superintendent of Public Instruction regarding special education and civil rights.

Amicus Work and Joint Advocacy

We write amicus briefs in cases involving important issues of public concern for students with disabilities, and support the work of nonprofit organizations that devote advocacy, resources and assistance towards the educational rights of students with disabilities.

Support for Attorneys

For our attorney members, we offer CLEs, member events, and access to briefs and other legal resources, enhancing their practice representing students with disabilities.
